Who is eligible for the Tukijituma programme?

Young people from Nairobi with skills and previous work experience in the creative or digital sector, and are looking for certification and industry exposure. Tukijituma also welcomes individuals in these fields who have already established businesses and are looking for ways to grow them sustainably.


Is admission open to everyone in the Creative and Digital Industry?

Access to Tukijituma is limited to those who complete the application process and are chosen through a successful selection phase.


What do I get at the end of the programme?

You will obtain official certification from our network of partners. Additionally, you will be enrolled in courses covering life skills and financial management.


Will I get a job after successfully completing the Tukijituma programme?

While the programme does not provide guaranteed employment, our training is designed to empower you with the tools needed to secure enhanced roles within the job and gig economies.


How long is the training?

The curriculum is structured to span 7 weeks, requiring a commitment of 6 hours weekly.


What happens if I am chosen for the programme?

Once selected, applicants will be assigned to a specific learning path that aligns with their chosen professional focus.


Will all successful applicants do the same course?

Courses are not the same for everyone; your training will be tailored to your specific area of focus within the creative and digital industries


Do I need to pay to participate in Tukijituma?

Tukijituma provides these courses at no cost to candidates who are successfully selected. You may review our full Terms and Conditions for more details.


Will the courses be taught online or in-person?

We utilize a hybrid model involving both virtual and physical learning sessions, which varies by your assigned courses.


Who are the trainers?

The Tukijituma courses are provided in collaboration with Financially Incorrect, ALX, D&R Studios, and the Kenya Chamber of Commerce and Industry.


Is my data safe?

Your personal information is secure. Data is shared only with Girl Effect and its programme affiliates and is never disclosed to outside parties.


Is there an age requirement?

Candidates for Tukijituma must be within the age of 18 to 24 years.


Do people with disabilities qualify for Tukijituma?

Yes. We welcome applications from persons with disabilities.


Do I need any certificates to join Tukijituma?

Prior certification is not mandatory, though active engagement in creative or digital work is necessary for entry.


Do I need to complete all my courses to be certified?

Yes. Full participation in the curriculum is required to qualify for your final certificate.
